November to Now

November
Evan, Masie, Sadie, Somer, Jack, Ella
We bid farewell to Evan(Gary’s brother) and Somer. We celebrated one last get together by having a bowling party! We had a great time with the kids. They have since moved to Texas for Evan’s job. We hope things are going well for them. We miss having them close by.

We had quite a few visitors come by in November to visit us. Gary’s sister Nickell along with Brian, Tyler, and Caleb came for a visit.  My Grandma and her husband came to visit for Thanksgiving. We had a great time getting to know Jim better.

December
Renae & Jade
Caleb & Nickell, Gary & Jade
Renae came to visit just 4 days later. We enjoyed what little time we could have together.   There’s no place like home for the holidays. We spent a lot of time going back and forth between both homes, but we are so lucky to have our parents in the same area. We got to see several friends as well. We probably won’t be making a trip to Colorado Springs for while so we soaked up as much as we could. Hoping a few more visitors will come our way now.
Sparrows and the Christensens
January
We welcomed in the New Year with a little medical trauma in the Christensen family.  Without going into all the details, we will just count our blessings!  We welcome this New Year with a great appreciation for the gift of life and family.
Train Station in Denver

After spending the holidays in Colorado we decided to take the train back to Utah. It was a very scenic trip for us. We loved the views. Though the trip was long (15+ hours) we would definitely do it again, but with a few changes. It was a fun little adventure for us.

Before the holidays ended, some of my friends from my Utah State days got together.  We met freshman year, and have been friends for over 10 years now.  The amazing thing is that we all had babies months apart from each other.  We hope to add a few more faces next time we get together.

Jade is gRoWiNg! She is 7 months old and weighs over 16 pounds.  She now sleeps in a room all by herself and she sleeps through the night too!  She loves to eat. Fruits are her favorites. She just learned how to feed crackers to herself. Not quite crawling yet, but we are just glad when we can get her on her tummy without crying.  Bath time has been a little hard for Jade.  After 7 months she now likes taking a bath.  The latest thing she has been into doing is blowing raspberries while she has food in her mouth. Fun for the giver but not the receiver!
